I approach design through the lens of problem solving. I strive to understand fully the issues being faced, the desired outcomes of the project, and most effective tone. I’m committed to designing with compassion and awareness, and to be continually learning, creating, and growing through and within my work.
About:
I am interested in design’s unique applications in solving human problems. Problems of expression, problems of communication, problems of understanding, all of these have solutions based partly in design.
I am inherently curious and naturally incorporate that into my work. Be it research, practicing new mediums, gaining new skills, or learning a new approach to an old issue, I find design fascinating in its many avenues of expression and communication.
I hold myself to being a “lifelong learner”, embracing that there is always room to grow, develop, and learn new things. I desire and seek out new approaches, perspectives, opportunities, challenges, and practices. This practice is ultimately for my own fulfillment and creative development, but an added benefit is that it keeps my design process and output fluid, evolving, and exciting.
I am a graduate of OCAD University's Graphic Design Undergrad program. I have experience with brand development, logo design, editorial layout, packaging design, motion graphics, type design and more.
