Started in Vancouver and relaunched in Toronto years later, Pillar Brand is the fashion brand of designer and creative Eric Han. Conceptualizing his designs in the form of stylized illustrations, Pillar Brand garments all share an element of playful expression. In branding I wanted to capture the fun of Erics design process and his use of material through playful branding and colour especially.
The logo in its vertical form expands opportunities for further products and brand integration. The intention was to include vertical Pillar Brand stickers on every hang tag as a keep-sake for the customer and an opportunity for brand awareness by getting eyes on the brand. Conceptually, as the vertical logo is all one piece, it could be used in other ways like custom zipper pulls and other functional elements.

Because the brand was reshaping itself and the designer/director wanted to explore so many topics, I wanted to offer a logo mark that was generally stylish but versitle. I wanted to pitch something modular that could be used across the brand, but reinvented with each collection.
